2.1. Slotted & 3 Hole-Pin Type Self Tapping Inserts

Specially designed to cut their own threads as they are being driven into a drilled hole. The thread-cutting action is performed by the cutting slots or holes on the insert.
Ideal for thread reinforcement, especially when the mating stud or bolt will be removed frequently. They provide strong, permanent steel threads in a weaker parent material — ferrous, non-ferrous, or non-metallic. Self-tapping threaded Inserts are also well suited for quick repair of stripped, damaged, or worn threads.
Installation is simple and quick, using only one tool, which lowers installation cost. By tapping its own thread, the self-tapping insert eliminates the need for the base material to have pre-tapping.
Unlike coil inserts, which require a special tap and installation tool, Self-Tapping Threaded Inserts for metal are installed using standard tools. Simply drill the appropriately sized hole with a standard drill and turn in the Self Tapping Threaded Inserts like an ordinary fastener with an installation tool.

2.2. Key Locking Type Self Tapping Inserts

Key Locking Threaded Inserts are solid, one-piece, key-locking inserts for use in original equipment or used to repair damaged threads. The locking keys of Key Locking Threaded Inserts provide a positive mechanical lock which prevents rotation due to vibration or torsion.
Key Locking Threaded Inserts are ideal for thread reinforcement, especially when the mating stud or bolt will be removed frequently. They provide strong, permanent steel threads in a weaker parent material — ferrous, non-ferrous, or non-metallic. Key Locking Inserts are also well suited for quick repair of stripped, damaged, or worn threads. A solid version is also available to use as a handy plug to relocate holes drilled or tapped in the wrong location. Install with standard drills and taps.
Key Locking Threaded Inserts have 2 or 4 pre-assembled keys depending on the size of the
external thread. After installation of the keys into the parent material the assembly is positively locked in place.
